According to the Charlotte Business Journal, a buyer affiliated with the Warren Norman Company plans to revitalize an existing structure in Rock Hill. An entity named RH Guardian OZ recently purchased several parcels at Oakland Avenue and Main street for 3.3 million. The site is two buildings with one being the old Guardian building, formerly the Andrew Jackson Hotel. In size its about 42,000 square feet. The other building is smaller at around 6,000 square feet and will likely be demolished. In an interview with the CBJ, Warren Norman says the plans are for restaurant and retail space on the first floor of the six story Guardian building. The second floor will have a ballroom/meeting room with the rest of the floors including office space. The building currently has office tenants but is only around 35% leased. He hopes to start construction in the fall.
