Silfab solar construction pauses due to work violation, but expects to resume soon

Construction at the Silfab Solar facility in York County has been paused due to workplace violations, with employees not permitted for the project.
Investigators found employees on the property who were apparently not permitted to be there. a fire marshal and building inspector were sent by the County Monday after getting a complaint. While Silfab does have several construction permits, they however do not have a certificate of occupancy. Officials say that the work order stoppage is in place until the solar panel manufacturer passes inspection which could happen anytime. Officials with Silfab spoke to WRHI and said that the order could be lifted to resume construction within the next day. They also released an official statement Thursday afternoon saying they have reviewed the letter with county leadership and are working towards a quick resolution to resume.
