New option for fitness is on its way to York

A new option for fitness is coming to York. And it looks like it will be free of charge.
York applied for a $30,000 grant earlier this year to partner with San Francisco based National Fitness Campaign for a new fitness court. This partnership will bring a 2,000 plus square foot fitness area to the York Recreation complex. It will have full body workout setups with seven movement machines that will work a variety of areas. The National Fitness Campaign aims to help fund 5,000 outdoor courts like these by 2030. In York it will be one of two in the Palmetto State. Generations Park in Aiken has one as well. Similar courts like the one coming are also at Veterans Memorial in Charlotte and Indian Trail. Lastly York will offer naming rights to the facility and its featurees to raise addtional funding for it.
