Retired Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones spoke to a crowd of several hundred people Sunday night during Winthrop University’s 14th annual First Pitch Dinner. Earlier in the afternoon, Jones got a chance to talk with Winthrop’s baseball team and met with reporters. He had this to say about his chances of being a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer.

Jones played some games at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill during his minor league stint in the early 1990s. He is considered one of the top five switch-hitters in Major League Baseball history.
