SCarowinds Celebrates 25th Anniversary with New ‘Conjuring’ Attraction

Carowinds is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its signature Halloween event, SCarowinds, with a lineup of new attractions and a first-of-its-kind interactive experience. The event is set to run on select nights from September 12 through November 2.

The Conjuring: Beyond Fear

Headlining this year’s event is “The Conjuring: Beyond Fear,” an all-new, premium experience based on the blockbuster horror movie franchise. Unlike a traditional haunted maze, this attraction is an interactive experience where visitors must navigate iconic scenes and race to lock away cursed artifacts before supernatural chaos is unleashed. Guests will encounter legendary characters from the film universe, including Annabelle, The Nun, and The Crooked Man. This “SCREAMium” attraction requires a separate purchase for entry and is not included with standard park admission.

Additional Haunts and Shows

In addition to “The Conjuring,” Carowinds is introducing other new terrifying attractions for its 25th anniversary. These include a new haunted maze, “Defex 2.0,” and a refreshed one called “Silver Scream Studios: 25th Anniversary Director’s Cut.” The park will also feature a new scare zone named “Glitch” and a new live show, “DepRAVed.”

Admission to SCarowinds includes all the park’s rides, live shows, and scare zones. For access to the haunted mazes, guests will now need to purchase a separate Haunted Attractions Pass. The park advises that the SCarowinds event is best for guests aged 13 and up due to its intense nature.
