Renowned Artist Jim Shore Announces Purchase of Historic Rock Hill Building to House New Museum and Gift Shop

Rock Hill, South Carolina –Internationally renowned artist Jim Shore announced the purchase of a historic building in downtown Rock Hill, South Carolina, which will soon become the permanent home of the Jim Shore Museum Experience and Gift Shop. The 22,000 square foot building is located at 109 Hampton Street, Rock Hill, SC.

The new space will celebrate Jim Shore’s artistry, storytelling, and legacy through immersive exhibits, rotating galleries, and exclusive experiences. Visitors will also enjoy a thoughtfully curated gift shop featuring Jim Shore’s collectible figurines, seasonal pieces, and special event merchandise.

The two-story building, a landmark in Rock Hill’s historic district, will be transformed into an interactive museum that combines state-of-the-art storytelling with Shore’s signature folk-art style. Plans include:

• A video immersion experience highlighting Shore’s creative journey
• Rotating art galleries showcasing both Shore’s work and special themed collections
• A behind-the-scenes look into Shore’s process and inspirations
• A museum-exclusive gift shop offering limited-edition pieces and seasonal designs

The museum is expected to become a cultural anchor and tourism destination for Rock Hill, drawing fans from across the nation.
