York County Students Celebrate Seminary Graduation After Four Years of Early Morning Scripture Study

On Sunday evening, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held a Seminary Graduation ceremony honoring fifteen dedicated high school seniors from across York County.
These students have completed four years of consistent, early morning scripture study as part of the Church’s Seminary program. Each school day, before classes begin, they have gathered with peers in grades 9–12 to study the gospel of Jesus Christ and deepen their spiritual understanding.
The ceremony recognized the graduates’ commitment, discipline, and spiritual growth. “I believe that among the many positive benefits of seminary, the most important is that it is able to reinforce doctrinal principles as you go about your high school life, allowing you to make better decisions,” said Sunia Tyson, a graduating senior from the Rock Hill congregation.
The Seminary program is a cornerstone of religious education for youth in the Church, helping them build a lifelong foundation of faith, service, and personal integrity.
