? Cat of the Week: Déjà Vu

Déjà Vu is a stunning young cat, just over a year old, who came to HSYC as an owner surrender through no fault of her own. Still adjusting to rescue life, she’s already made herself at home in our Cat Lounge — a sign that she enjoys the company of other felines.

Though a bit reserved at first, Déjà Vu is curious and content watching visitors come and go. With time, love, and patience, she’s sure to blossom into a loving companion. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested — completely ready for her second chance.

? Dog of the Week: Lunchbox

Lunchbox is a 3-year-old bundle of joy who arrived at HSYC as a stray and quickly captured everyone’s heart. Playful, goofy, and full of affection, this “cutie patootie” is ready to meet his future family.

He’s neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested. While we haven’t tested him with other dogs just yet, his friendly nature suggests he’ll do just fine. Call 803-802-0902 to schedule a time to meet him — he’s eager to say hello!

? Shelter Scoop: Kitten Season is Here

Kitten season is in full swing — and while these tiny furballs are undeniably cute, the reality is tough: without support, they face neglect, illness, and worse. Here’s how YOU can help:

• Spay/Neuter Your Pets: It’s the most effective way to control the population.

• Become a Foster: Care for kittens short-term (2–4 weeks) and help save lives. Sign up here.

Our rescue runs on community support. Here’s how you can help:

• Volunteer at the shelter, thrift shop, or fundraising events.

• Foster a pet in need.

• Donate here or drop off needed supplies:

  • Clay cat litter

  • Gerber baby food (Turkey or Chicken)

  • Dog treats

  • Bleach & laundry detergent

  • Gently used items for our thrift shop
