“No Kings” protests are scheduled for Charlotte area next weekend, including Rock Hill

The Charlotte area including Rock Hill are expecting to see some rallies and protests. They are set for next Saturday as part of a movement called “No Kings”….Its being described by organizers as a nationwide day of defiance. Per a release, the day itself is being put on by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Human Rights Campaign and appears to be similar to that of the Hands Off protests that opposed President Donald Trump that happened earlier this spring. The mantra of the protests read “The flag doesn’t belong to Trump, its belongs to us. and claims on June 14th, they will show up everywhere he isn’t, “say no to thrones, no crowns and no kings.”
Rock Hill is scheduled to see one of these protests at 2pm on E.White Street. Four other locations in Charlotte were mentioned in the release as well. Organizers say that the movement is committed to nonviolence and being peaceful.
