Piedmont Medical Center celebrates team member’s decades of service

Piedmont Medical Center honored its employees during our annual Service Awards Ceremony Wednesday afternoon. What made this event so special is honoring two of PMC’s longest employees-an employee in our laboratory and our pharmacy! Lisa Lilly is celebrating 40 years! She is a Pharmacy Automation Technician and was hired in 1984! Her story in incredible about how she was among the team that helped implement PMC’s first computer systems. She remembers taking medicine orders on pen and paper! She says the reason she continues is because of Jesus’ message, “Love Our Neighbor”, adding no matter if a patient, patient’s family member or even a co-worker, she can play a role in making someone’s day better. The other employee being honored is Albernita Graze. She is celebrating 50 years!! She works in our lab and started in 1973 at York General Hospital. She was here when hurricane Huge came through and the lab flooded. She remembered still taking care of patients even in that time. She also remembers running into Tammy Baker in the hospital hall! There were more than 60 employees honored…
