With the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) lacrosse playoffs set to begin this week, York County is once again a major player in both the boys’ and girls’ brackets. Local teams from Clover, Fort Mill, Nation Ford, and Catawba Ridge are not just participating—they’re poised to make deep postseason runs.

In boys’ Division 1, the Clover Blue Eagles earned the top seed in the AAAAA Upper State bracket, rewarding them with a bye into the second round. Meanwhile, Fort Mill, Nation Ford, and Catawba Ridge are all clustered in the Division 2 Upper State bracket—meaning local rivalries could be renewed quickly.

On the girls’ side, Fort Mill and Catawba Ridge each have strong placements in the AAAAA Division 2 bracket, while Clover will battle through the highly competitive Division 1 Upper State.

Lower State

Class AAAAA – Division 2

Upper State

This creates an all-York County semifinal with the winner of Fort Mill vs. Catawba Ridge taking on  cross-town rival Nation Ford.

Much like the boys’ bracket, this division could also yield a Fort Mill vs. Catawba Ridge showdown.
