Worker Killed in Incident at York County Manufacturing Plant

YORK COUNTY, S.C. – A man died following an incident at the Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems facility in York County this past week, company officials confirmed.
The victim, identified as 35-year-old Stewart Campbell, was transported to a local hospital after the incident but later succumbed to his injuries, according to the York County Coroner’s Office. Details surrounding the nature and cause of the incident have not been released.
“Our deepest condolences and sympathies are with the family during this difficult time,” a spokesperson for Cummins said in a statement.
The South Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has not yet confirmed whether an investigation is underway.
Authorities have not provided further details, and it remains unclear if operations at the factory have been impacted.
