State Senator Wes Climer announces he is running for Congress

A York County native is running for Congress. State Senator Wes Climer announced his candidacy to succeed Representative Ralph Norman who recently put his hat in for the Governor’s race. Climer, a republican has been in the state senate representing district 15 since 2016. At a York County GOP event Thursday night, he said he “promised to be an ally to President Trump and push an America First Agenda. The 5th Congressional District covers the counties of York, Lancaster Chester, Union, Spartanburg, Cherokee, Fairfield, Kershaw and Lee. In the race already were two Democrats in Alex Harper and Andrew Clough.
