Full release from Town of Fort Mill

After a comprehensive facilities study was completed in 2023, the Town of Fort Mill purchased
the buildings located at 123 and 205 North White Street, closing in May 2024. These office
buildings, previously home to the Springs Executive Office and the Springs Research and
Development Center, sit immediately adjacent to the Town’s Amphitheater, Walter Y. Elisha
Park, Veterans Park, and Main Street.
Since closing, the Town has completed maintenance, upgrades, and renovations to the facility.
The Town is scheduled to relocate a sub-set of its nonpublic-facing administrative employees
on February 20, 2025, followed a month later, on March 28, by its Police Department staff.
Several internal service and management functions will be moving first to the new Town Hall,
but due to ongoing remodeling, all public facing Town services will continue to operate out of
what will now be known as the Fort Mill Town Hall Annex, located at 200 Tom Hall St. through
the next year. The public should continue visiting our 200 Tom Hall Street location (across from
the Fort Mill Post Office) for the following services until further notice:
-Building permits
-Planning and Zoning needs
-Utility payments
-Court payments
The first Fort Mill Town Council meeting to be held at 205 N. White St. is tentatively scheduled
for March 24, dependent on construction inside the building. As for Municipal Court, the final
court session at its current location (112 Confederate St.) will be on March 19. There will be no
court dates in April during the transition. Court will then resume at Town Hall on May 14.
The Town of Fort Mill is under contract to sell the buildings located at 112 Confederate Street
and 200 Tom Hall Street to the David Martin Law Group and the First Baptist Church of Fort
Mill, respectively.
A public open house for the new Town Hall is expected to occur in late March, 2025, stay tuned
for a formal announcement.
