Clover Town Council to Hold Special Meeting to Appointment New Town Administrator

The Clover Town Council will meet tonight, October 2nd at 5:30 PM at the Clover Community Center to discuss significant leadership transitions within the town administration. One of the key agenda items includes Resolution 24-05, authorizing the appointment of William Z. Lester, III, as the new Town Administrator. Lester will succeed current Town Administrator Allison B. Harvey, whose term expires on October 31, 2024.

In a move aimed at ensuring a smooth transition, the council will also consider Resolution 24-06, authorizing the continuation of Harvey’s employment as a Consulting Town Administrator through December 31, 2024. This agreement is designed to provide support and training to Lester as he assumes his new role.

The meeting will also include an executive session where the council will discuss personnel matters relating to these employment agreements, with the possibility of action being taken afterward.
