Thursday Night Fatal Accident On Laurel Creek Drive
Thursday night at 10:05pm, Rock Hill Police responded to the 4200 block of Laurel Creek Drive for a traffic collision involving a Honda CRV and a golf cart. Officers were informed there were six riders on the golf cart which flipped over upon impact. One of the riders, a 15-year-old female, was pronounced deceased at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision. The county coroner identified her as Marlie Sullivan. Three other riders of the golf cart were taken to Piedmont Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. A preliminary investigation revealed the golf cart was traveling North on Laurel Creek Drive when the Honda, which was traveling South in the wrong lane of travel, collided with the golf cart. The Rock Hill Police Department Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded to investigate the collision which is still ongoing.
