A Tuesday evening shooting occurred near the Subway on Herlong Avenue and Ebenezer Avenue at around 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon. Rock Hill Police arrived to find a 22-year-old male victim with a serious gunshot wound to his mouth and a 20- year-old female victim with a graze wound. Officers were advised the suspect was a black male wearing all black who fled on a silver bicycle. As officers requested EMS to respond to the scene, additional officers arrived to canvass the area and prepare for the K-9 Tracking Team to respond. The Rock Hill K-9 Tracking Team began tracking the suspect leading officers along the suspect’s route. As officers searched along the route, the suspect was located on South Cherry Road. 22 year old Lamarius Devon Howze was arrested and and was taken to the Rock Hill Jail where he was charged with Attempted Murder, Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle. Police say Howze and the victims knew each other.
