Rock Hill police conducting a death investigation with an inmate found dead in the jail
The Rock Hill Police is conducting a death investigation involving a 58 year old male inmate at the Rock Hill Jail. Corrections officers found the subject unresponsive and EMS was notified as officers began to render medical aid. When EMS arrived however, the inmate was pronounced deceased. The Rock Hill Police Department has called the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to conduct an independent investigation into the incident. The Rock Hill Police Department is conducting an internal investigation into the incident as well. The male inmate was in custody only a day due to shoplifting.
