Plans to bring Costco to Indian Land are moving forward

Lancaster County Council this week moved ahead with a zoning plan along with other changes regarding a planned Costco project in Indian Land. The Exchange at Indian Land at the moment is a 130 acre project off US 521. The plan includes the actual store along with a gas station as well. There was conversation at the meeting about how it would impact traffic. The site is located south of Ballantyne and would more than likely bring people from Charlotte as well. Its estimated to bring 3.6 million in annual tax impact for the county as a whole between property, sales and other taxes. Their is additional apartments and town homes projected near this same area as well.
