The City released a statement regarding parking around the Sports and Events Center and the PowerHouse development.

Parking at University Center

Public parking is available at Rock Hill’s University Center to serve the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center, Power House, and other businesses.  Parking in Deck A, 348 Technology Center Way (behind Cambria Hotel), and Deck B , 343 Technology Center Way, offers free parking for the first 90 minutes. After 90 minutes, rates are charged based on time in the deck, with a maximum daily rate of $7 starting July 1, 2023. The All Day Pass includes unlimited ins and outs, and expires at 11:45 PM the day it was issued.

 Helpful Tips

Be sure to register your vehicle through Premium Parking upon arrival even if you intend to leave the garage prior to the first 90 minutes. Register using the Premium Parking mobile app or website, by text, phone, or scan the QR code (Camera Pay) at the deck where you park. License plate enforcement occurs 24/7, with routine patrols.

  • On-Street parking spaces are also paid and must register through Premium Parking. On-street rates start at $2 for the first hour. The free 90 minutes does not apply to on-street spaces.
  • Don’t park in reserved spaces or in areas marked with “No Parking” signs. Private property owners manage and enforce private lots within University Center and may initiate towing of non-authorized vehicles.

Previously, there was a flat rate during events at the Sports & Event Center most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays without a free option. To avoid confusion, starting June 30, the first 90 minutes free will also apply Fridays through Sundays.

The parking deck under the Lowenstein Building is privately owned and uses a ticket system pulled at the entry gate rather than the Premium Parking payment system.
