Founding board member for York Tech passes away

One of the founding board members of York Technical college passed away this week. Curtis Sigmon died on Monday, he was 90 years old. He was not only a board member but also a generous supporter of the foundation. Mr.Sigmon was a commission member from 1962 to 1988 serving six of those years as chair. The funeral was held Friday at Trinity United Methodist in York. He also served on the York Chamber of Commerce board, the South Carolina Broadcasters Association, and the York County water resources Committee. During his time at the College, Mr.Sigmon provided transformative leadership and helped to establish an educational television and radio station on campus
