Rock Hill Homicide Arrest

37-year-old Jerod Juan Cook, of Rock Hill has been arrested and charged with the murder of 59 year old John Ferrell. On Sunday June 7th, 2020 at 1:30 am., Rock Hill Police were dispatched to an apartment at 729 South Confederate Avenue in reference to an unresponsive male subject inside. Once on scene, officers located Ferrell, on the floor in the living room with head injuries consistent with an assault. The Rock Hill Police Department Criminal Investigations Division investigated this case and identified Cook as the suspect. A warrant for Murder was issued for Cook based on the evidence found during the investigation. Cook has been arrested and taken to the Rock Hill Police Department Jail and will have a Bond Hearing at the Rock Hill Municipal Court at 2pm Tuesday afternoon.
