The Football University (FBU) National Championship tournament has awarded Fort Mill, SC, as a host city for the East Region for the 2016 national tournament. Beginning December 2, Fort Mill will play host to the first three rounds of the FBU National Championship tournament, with 24 youth all-star teams vying for the title of National Champion.

The national tournament, which features 64 teams at each of the three grade levels, will conclude in Naples, Florida, for a third consecutive year.  The month-long tournament, the #PathToNaples, allows richly talented all-star teams in 6th, 7th and 8th-grade divisions from 36 states the opportunity to compete on a national stage.

This year’s tournament will kick off December 2, 2016 at 8 regional sites across the country with over 6,000 athletes and 1,200 coaches in participation.  The Path To Naples concludes with Championship Week, December 16-20, with the final three rounds played in Naples, FL.

The following teams in 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade will be competing in the Fort Mill Super Regional:

Indiana

Maryland

Maryland Metro

Northern New Jersey

Northern Virginia

South Carolina

Southern New Jersey
