ROCK HILL — Florida Senator and possible vice-presidential running mate Marco Rubio was in Rock Hill Friday, signing copies of his memoir on a multi-state tour.

[media-credit id=18 align=”alignright” width=”300″][/media-credit]While he wouldn’t directly comment on his future political aspirations, he quickly took President Obama to task following Friday’s national unemployment figures.

Just over 40 people stood in line to get signed copies of Rubio’s book, “An American Son.”

Among those was Rock Hill teacher Linda Reight, who says while she’s a Republican, she encourages political discussions in her classroom and plans to take Friday morning’s experience to her students.

Rubio says he’s always held a special place in his heart for South Carolina.

Rubio, 41, was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010 after serving in the Florida House and Senate since 2000 and says he hopes to return to the Palmetto State.

Rubio’s book tour across the southeast continues through the weekend.
