Stephen Garcia had a roller coster career that included five suspensions and an SEC East title

Former USC quarterback Stephen Garica returned to the field Saturday night in the Battle of Florida all-star game in Boca Raton. In his first action since been dismissed from the Gamecock football team in October Garcia came off the bench to throw a pair of touchdown passes. He tossed a 60 yard strike on his second play from scrimmage, followed by a 24 yard scoring pass on the next possession. He left the game after taking a hit to his elbow on his third drive.

Garcia was playing on the North team coached by legendary Florida State coach Bobby Bowden. Bowden’s squad beat the South team 51-7.

During a sideline interview near the end of the game Garcia said his injury was minor and reiterated he still hopes to get a shot with an NFL team. He said he will be in Columbia for USC’s Pro Day. You can watch his interview below.
