Boil water advisory for York County has been lifted

The Boil water advisory for York County areas in Fort Mill and Tega was lifted late yesterday afternoon. The County says they received the water test report sooner than expected and the boil water advisory has now been lifted for all customers. The water main break on Saturday night happened due to entirely natural causes. The County says this is an old pipe, and over time shifting rock and sediment surrounding it caused the pipe to rupture. The County added that utility crews worked diligently for many hours to repair the leak and stabilize the water main.
