Williamsport, Pa. — The Irmo Little League All-Stars from South Carolina pulled off one of the most dramatic comebacks of this year’s Little League World Series, erasing a five-run deficit in the final inning to defeat South Dakota, 7–6, and secure a place in the U.S. semifinals.

Trailing 6–1 heading into the bottom of the seventh, Irmo looked all but finished after South Dakota’s offense exploded for five runs in the top half of the inning. But South Carolina refused to fold. One batter after another chipped away at the deficit until the bases were loaded and the crowd was on its feet.

The decisive moment came when Andrew Bogan stepped to the plate and delivered the game-winning hit, completing the six-run rally and sending Irmo into a wild celebration.

The victory keeps South Carolina’s championship hopes alive and propels the team into the U.S. bracket semifinals, where they will face Nevada in a rematch. Irmo lost 1–0 to Nevada earlier in the tournament, setting the stage for a highly anticipated showdown.

For South Carolina, the comeback exemplifies the resilience and spirit that define the Little League World Series — a reminder that no game is over until the final out.
