Woman booked and charged after hit and run incident that killed a man Sunday

Five days after someone hit and killed a bicyclist in York County, an arrest has been made. Per the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Kailey Carpenter, 25 is being charged with leaving the scene of a collision involving a death. It was reported as a hit and run situation Sunday morning as Carpenter did not stop after hitting the victim when it happened. Carpenter was booked on Friday morning. The victim, Anthony Raheem Parker, 31 of Clover was traveling on SC 55 when he was struck and killed. Raheem leaves behind a 3 year old daughter and per facebook postings, a GoFundMe page has been set up for expenses and funeral arrangements. Bond was set for 75,000 and a hearing was scheduled for this afternoon. The felony charge carries one to 25 years if convicted.
