Public Meeting Scheduled for Chester County Intersection Improvement Project

FORT LAWN, SC – The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will host a public information meeting on Tuesday, June 24, from 5 to 7 p.m., to discuss a proposed intersection improvement project in Chester County. The meeting will take place at the Fort Lawn Community Center, located at 5554 Main Street, Fort Lawn, SC 29714.
The project focuses on enhancements to the intersection of US 21 (Catawba River Road) and SC 9 (Lancaster Highway). This drop-in style meeting will allow community members to speak directly with SCDOT representatives about the proposed plans. There will be no formal presentation given during the event.
SCDOT is actively seeking public input on this project. Comments will be accepted for a month-long period, beginning today, June 11, and concluding on July 11, 2025.
