South Carolina Ag + Art Tour Returns to York County June 7–8 with Dozens of Hands-On Experiences

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Ag + Art Tour returns to York County on June 7–8, offering a weekend of free, self-guided exploration that connects visitors with the region’s agricultural roots and creative culture. With more than 20 stops scheduled across the county, this year’s tour features working farms, farmers markets, educational gardens, and artisan showcases.
Founded in York County in 2012, the Ag + Art Tour is now one of the largest events of its kind in the nation. “Agritourism is a vital part of York County’s economy and cultural identity,” said Andy Clinton, President and CEO of Visit York County. “We are pleased to see the tour grow across South Carolina and continue to support our thriving community of farmers, makers and artists.”
Each site offers family-friendly activities, ranging from art demonstrations to livestock encounters. Here are highlights from several York County locations:
Featured Tour Sites

Black Snake Farm (Rock Hill)
Operated by the Catawba Indian Nation, this site features a four-acre garden, orchard, and flock of laying hens. Visitors can take part in corn husk doll making, a scavenger hunt, and demonstrations of traditional pottery and pine needle basket weaving. -
Black Walnut Farmstead (Sharon)
A holistic farmstead offering tours, fiber arts demos, yoga, sawmill demos, and a Young Creatives marketplace with handmade items by children ages 6–16. -
Black’s Peaches (York)
A 100-year-old peach farm offering homemade ice cream, hayrides, and pick-your-own peaches (weather permitting). Also features a playground and locally sourced burgers. -
Bush-N-Vine (York)
Family farm with a wide variety of produce and a farm café serving hot dogs, donuts, and ice cream. The farm store will be open with goods available for purchase. -
Crandall Bowles Children’s Farm (Fort Mill)
Features hands-on animal interactions with alpacas, ducks, goats, and more. Feed buckets will be available, and food trucks will be on-site Saturday. -
Creekside Farm of York
Offers a shaded play area, nature trails, and a look at farm animals including quail, goats, and chickens. The veteran-owned Salute Chew food truck will be on location both days. -
Five Blossoms Farm (Clover)
A specialty cut flower and beekeeping farm offering a petting zoo, pick-your-own flowers, and beekeeping demonstrations. Seasonal goods like honey and beeswax candles will be available. -
Forlines Farms on Ferndale (McConnells)
A small, no-spray blueberry farm offering pick-your-own berries in a peaceful, natural setting. -
Fort Mill & Clover Farmers Markets
These downtown markets will showcase local produce, baked goods, flowers, meat, and handmade crafts from regional artisans. -
Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery (York)
Open specially for the tour, this boutique apple orchard will host cider tastings and orchard Q&A sessions. -
Winthrop University Educational Community Garden (Rock Hill)
Sunday-only stop featuring tours, composting demos, and gardening Q&A with local experts.
Other stops include Hourglass Alpacas, Indigo Iris Farm, Palm Pike Flower Farm, Springs Farm Market, The Peach Tree, and the Old Town Market in Rock Hill, each offering a mix of agricultural experiences and artisan showcases.
