Concerned citizens and parents from the Rock Hill School District could be protesting a recent decision about a principal. In multiple social media posts over the weekend, parents, teachers and community members bring attention to what appears to be a situation of Clayton Moton no longer being the principal of Dutchman Creek Middle. This implies that his contract as principal was not renewed or offered with the district. In a petition that has nearly 1000 signatures, they ask for a call to action supporting Mr.Moton and have his contract be restored with the school. The petition has comments from parents and teachers of the school commending his leadership, academic achievements and community involvement. The post says they should rally to bring him back to the school. Sources with WRHI say that there could be a protest or rally of some sort before the school board meeting Tuesday which will be held at Sullivan Middle school. WRHI reached out to the Rock Hill School District for comment and was declined.
