York Police is looking for someone after an alleged attempted murder

The York Police Department is looking for someone after an alleged attempted murder. On Thursday around 8pm, the York Police responded to the 400 block of Hickory Lane for a call about someone being shot. They located a 44 year old male with multiple wounds to the back. That victim was transported to Piedmont Medical and is expected to survive per a release. After investigation, they identified Denareay Pendergrass, 32 as the suspect. Warrants for attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a crime of violence were created. Pendergrass is classified as armed and dangerous however York Police does not believe he is a danger to the community at large..Any sightings of Pendergrass should be reported to the York Police Department at 803-684-
