Tega Cay Golf Club Seeks New Dining Operator: 10 Bidders in the Running

TEGA CAY, SC – The Tega Cay Golf Club is getting ready for a potential change in its food and beverage services, and ten businesses are competing for the chance to manage the operation. The City of Tega Cay requested proposals from companies interested in managing the club’s dining services at a meeting held earlier this week, and now the bids are in.
The selected business will sign a five-year agreement starting February 1, 2026, with an option for a five-year extension.
The Bidders
Ten businesses have officially submitted proposals to manage the food and beverage operations, including the Shore Club, the current operator of the facility.
- CGDS LLC
- Ben E. Keith
- Karl Schaefer Designs
- Knowledge Perk Coffee Company
- Flipside Restaurant Group
- Slotted Spoon Hospitality
- Hobo’s
- Charter House
- Shore Club
- Margaux’s Wine/The Garrison
Each of these businesses is now being considered as the city reviews their proposals. The winning company will be responsible for running the golf club’s restaurant and bar, as well as potentially managing the Conference Center/Ballroom for an additional fee.
The Deal
The operator, known as the Licensee, will pay the city a $15,000 monthly fee for running the food and beverage services. If they also take on the Conference Center/Ballroom, they will pay an additional $1,500 per month plus 10% of the revenue generated from events held there.
The agreement also includes a $42,000 security deposit, which will be returned at the end of the contract, minus any damages or missing items. If the city extends the contract for an additional five years, the monthly fee may increase by up to 10%.
What Happens Next?
With the proposals now in, city officials will review the bids and select the best fit for the golf club. The decision will be based on experience, financial stability, and overall vision for the dining space. The new operator will take over just in time for the 2026 golf season.
For now, Tega Cay residents and golf club members can look forward to potential changes in their dining options as the city moves forward in selecting the best operator for this highly anticipated transition.
