A player from Rock Hill has hit for 1 million in the lottery. He told South Carolina Lottery officials that he “knew he was going to hit it big.”
The winner’s lucky feeling was spot on when he bought a $10 scratch-off at the Quick Food Mart on E. Main St. in Rock Hill. That ticket made him a millionaire, and he couldn’t wait to tell his wife. He told her they were going to pay off the house. Odds of winning $1 million in the Royal Millions game are 1 in 1,560,000. The game is no longer available for purchase. Quick Food Mart in Rock Hill received a commission of $10,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
