AUDIO: Governor Henry McMaster 2025 State of the State Address

Gov Henry McMaster gave his 8th State of the State address Wednesday, and the theme was about making investments. McMaster asked lawmakers to put hundreds of millions of dollars towards fixing South Carolina’s roads and bridges, paying law enforcement more and helping the state recover from Helene. Other highlights included the longest serving South Carolina Gov asking legislators to raise teachers’ minimum pay to $50,000 this year, and cut the state’s top income tax rate to 6%, saying it should ultimately taken out altogther.
