AUDIO: Dr. Schmolze Announces Retirement As Rock Hill Schools Superintendent

Dr. Tommy Schmolze announced his retirement Tuesday evening to the Rock Hill School Board Tuesday evening. Schmolze has been an educator, administrator, and coach for 32 years. He was hired in December of 2021 and in a statement to the board praised the accomplishments in his short time from local, state and national recognitions. Deputy Superintendent John Jones will serve in the interim. Another announced departure was that of Lindsay Machak. She was the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing.Following the meeting, Dr. Schmolze spoke with WRHI.
