Teen pleads guilty in golf cart accident that took the life of a 16 year old girl

A teen in Rock Hill pled guilty this week to the reckless homicide of a golf cart crash that killed a 16 year old girl. It happened in July. The 17 ear old boy was driving a vehicle just under 70 MPH in a zone for 25 MPH on Laurel Creek Drive before the accident. In York Family Court Tuesday, the teen appeared and pled guilty. The golf cart had five people in it but only Marlie Sullivan, died at the scene. Sentencing will happen early next year. The teen is not being named due him being a juvenile. Per the Herald, the York County Public Defender’s Office declined comment.
