UPDATE-Shooting in Rock Hill on Wednesday afternoon; RHPD says homicide a result of illegal narcotics sale

There was a shooting in Rock Hill Wednesday afternoon. It happened near the 1200 block of Amelia Avenue. A male was found there shot to death in a vehicle and a female who was also shot was in the driveway. Police found the victims around 12:45. When authorities arrived they found the female with wounds to her hand and head and she told them there was a male in the car. In an update to the investigation, Rock Hill police has released that the homicide is a result of an illegal narcotics sale. It is believed now that the suspect approached and shot into the vehicle hitting both victims with gunfire. The suspect fled the scene.
EMS took the female to Piedmont Medical Center. The male died at the scene. This is still an ongoing investigation as detectives are still working to identify suspect
