Tega Cay and Fort mill rank in top 10 of safest cities in SC

Tega Cay and Fort Mill are ranked in the top 10 of the safest cities in South Carolina. Coming from Safe Wise’s 2024 report, they based rankings on latest FBI crime data, population and the lowest reported incidents of property and violent crimes. Fort Mill ranked second on the list with 0.6 incidents per 1,000 people. Tega Cay was right behind 3rd place and while it has a property crime rate of 10.8%, they have a violent crime rate of 0.4 incidents per 1,000 people. Edgefield ranked first on the list. Behind Fort mill and Tega cay at 2 and 3 were Isle of Palms and Hanahan. From 6 to 10 its Bluffton, Mount Pleasant, Port Royal, Mauldin and Central.
