South Carolina ranking in the lower half of the country in Healthcare

Per a report by the Tega Cay Sun, South Carolina ranks in the lower half of the country in healthcare. Wallethub released its 2024 healthcare rankings. They based it off of affordability, access, and quality. Minnesota is tops in the nation with Rhode Island South Dakota, Iowa and New Hampshire rounding out the top 5. The Palmetto State is ranked 35th overall. The rankings were an average of all the categories so SC ranked 29th in healthcare costs, 36th in healthcare access, and 39th in healthcare outcomes. North Carolina wasn’t far behind at 41st place. Ranking last was the state of Mississippi
