Tony Breeden got nearly 52% of the vote defeating Michael Belk for York County Sheriff on Tuesday. With 100 percent of the county precincts reporting, Breeden got 8,919 votes to 8259 for Belk. Only 17,000 plus people voted in the runoff. Breeden is a former lieutenant with the Rock Hill Police and will take over for current Sheriff Kevin Tolson in 2025.
