New and familiar faces take primary wins on Tuesday; plus a Sheriff’s runoff-FULL RESULTS FOR YORK COUNTY CANDIDATES

Some new faces and familiar ones came out of the state primary last night. 16th Circuit Solicitor Kevin Brackett got nearly 73% of the vote defeating Tyler Bratton.
There will be some new members to the state house as in the race for District 66 Jackie Terribile defeated Michelle Branning by just 154 votes. In District 26 for House Rep, David Martin got 54% of the vote over Elizabeth Enns. Also for House Representative in District 43, Incumbent Randy Ligon easily surpassed Elias Irizarry with a tally of 1264 votes to 657. In the Primary for State Senate, District 17, Everett Stubbs got 54% of the vote over Tripp McCoy who got 28% and Tibi Czentye who got 16%. Stubbs will now face Democratic Senator Mike Fanning in November. And for York County Council District 2, Andy Litten defeated incumbent Allison Love. He got 68% of the vote with 3529 votes to Love’s 1,325.
Its no surprise but we are headed for a runoff in the race for York County Sheriff. With 100% of the precincts reporting Michael Belk leads Tony Breeden 6,536 to 6,349. Rounding out the results of that race were Beth Tolson in third with 4504 and fourth going to Chris Blevins at 4,174 and fifth is Heath Clevenger with 3038 votes.
