Fort Mill High ranks 7th in the state via US World News and Report

A school from York County was ranked as one of the best in the state. US World News and Report recently sent out its list of best high schools in South Carolina for this year. The list tallies over 17,000 schools in all across 50 states. Taking the top spot in this state was Academic Magnet High in North Charleston which also ranked 7th overall in the nation. Fort Mill High makes the top ten at 7. Some of the factors used by US News and World Report were college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, graduation rate and underserved student performance. Of the 227 high schools in SC, Catawba Ridge and Nation Ford were just outside the top ten at 11 and 12. York Prep was ranked 29th and Clover was 46th.
