1 dead and another injured after a crash that shut down parts of Mount Holly road on Friday

One person is dead and another injured this morning after a crash near Rock Hill. The incident caused the road to be closed. Mount Holly Road or SC 901 was shut down near the entrance to Pinetuck Lane after the crash. The road later re-opened. The single car accident occurred at 7:30 or so per Master Trooper Gary Miller with the SC Highway patrol. It was a jeep that went off the side of the road and overturned. A passenger that was sitting in the rear of the vehicle passed away. The front passenger was taken to Piedmont with the driver not injured at all. The investigation is ongoing.
