Candidate filing for the City of Rock Hill’s municipal election closes this Friday.. As of noon Monday 4 candidates had filed for the open seats in Wards 1, 2 and 3…Incumbents Derrick Lindsay filed for Ward 1 and Kevin Sutton for Ward 3, while in Ward 2, Brent Faulkenberry and Hope Matthews have filed for the seat being vacated by incumbent Kathy Pender.….Rock Hill’s election is scheduled for October 17th…In Fort Mill residents will elect a mayor and three council seats. To date, incumbents Lisa Cook, Ronnie Helms and Chris Moody have all filed..Across York County, elections will also be held in Clover, York, Tega Cay, Hickory Grove, McConnells, Smyrna and Sharon…Filing for all these seats is open through Sept. 8th..Voters in Clover and York will both vote for a mayor and 3 council seats while Tega Cay has just 2 seats to be filled…
