YCNGA gets major award and grant

York County Natural Gas Authority has been awarded a significant grant under the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, PHMSA. Its part of its Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure Safety and Modernization (NGDISM) Grant Program. The amount is 5.5 million dollars. The Authority was one of only two public gas systems in the state to receive this award. Funding will assist and expedite an ongoing pipeline renewal project to replace the natural gas distribution system serving the Town of Blacksburg. More information will be revealed at a later date with the award being officially presented later in May.
