South Carolina is getting a 2 billion dollar investment with plans to bring 4,000 jobs to the region
A huge economic development announcement for the state coming from Gov Henry McMaster Friday. An electric vehicle manufacturing facility has plans to locate to Richland County. SCOUT Motors will establish a 2 billion dollar facility in Blythewood where it will build all electric vehicles including trucks and SUV’s. The plant will bring as many as 4,000 jobs to the region. The site will be just off I-77 and span 1600 acres with the facility itself using up 1100.The company plans to begin production by the end of 2026.
