Clover head football coach Brian Lane is stepping down. Lane is reportedly set to take over the same position at Westside High School in Anderson. Details will be released later this week. Here is the release from Clover Schools.
CLOVER, S.C. – Clover High School’s head varsity football coach, Brian Lane, announced Thursday that he would be stepping down from the position to accept the same position at another school in South Carolina.
In his six-year tenure leading the CHS football program, Lane led the Blue Eagles to a 32-26 overall record, including the program’s first undefeated regular season in 2019. He reached the playoffs in three of his six seasons, including a quarterfinals appearance during the 2019 campaign.
Principal Rod Ruth and Athletic Director Bailey Jackson will begin the search for a new head coach to lead the Blue Eagles football program.
