City of Rock Hill files adversarial suit vs GT Real Estate Holdings

On Wednesday the City of Rock Hill filed an adversarial lawsuit against GT Real Estate Holdings, the company owned by David Tepper used to build the failed Panthers headquarters. It was filed as part of the ongoing proceedings that was previously sent in June. Rock Hill Claims GT Real Estate breached its contract with the city through “fraud” and “dishonesty” over the project. The city is asking for a jury trial . The suit also alleges that GTRE failed to “timely and effectively cooperate with and agree to any initial bond issuance in an amount sufficient to fund the project” Also in the suit the city claims that GTRE additionally ultimately failed to deliver information and documents about the projects financing
The city put out the statement saying there would be no public statements with this being a legal matter.
