Homebuyers are continuing to see prices rise in South Carolina.
It’s according to the latest data by South Carolina Realtors which says home prices have increased by double digits in the majority of housing markets across the state. In May, Greenwood saw the biggest median prices increase, a jump from 180-thousand last year to 240-thousand this year. The Greater Columbia area saw a 20-percent increase with the average home around 270-thousand-dollars. Pee Dee was the only area that didn’t see housing prices jump by double-digits. In May, Hilton Head was the most expensive place in the state to buy a home with a median price of 495-thousand.
